Kayli Says: In the chapter "Shay", Tally meets a girl named Shay in a pleasure garden while trying to escape the police back at Garbo Mansion in New Pretty Town. Suprisingly, they have the same birthday, and become pretty great friends.

What have you learned about Shay? I she like Tally? Make a prediction about what will happen between Tally and Shay.

Kayli Says: Shay is very adventurous, just like Tally. In fact, she's even more adventurous then her. At first she and her "adventurousity" overwhelmed Tally, and it still does. And though they are alike in so many ways, they are different in many ways also. Like the big fact that Shay doesn't want to become a Pretty, and lives in and for the moment. While Tally, on the other hand, could daydream about becoming a Pretty all day long.
Kayli Also Says: I think that Tally and Shay are going to be Best Friends and always have each other's backs.
